Rice Cereal Challenge

Rice Cereal? Has anyone ever dug up the courage to actually dip the tiny utensil in the bowl and taste what you were feeding your kid? Well...I did. Yep! You heard me right. I dipped that small, plastic eating device in the bowl of mush and actually took a bite. And you know what??? It wasn't that bad. Will I sneak a bite with every dining experience? Probably not, but at least I know what all these small children go nuts over; Rice Cereal.
Logan is now just slightly over 5 months and I started him on Rice Cereal. In the rice cereal would go, into the mouth and then out the rice cereal would come, out of the mouth. We played this game for a few days until he finally got it. Logan will eat the cereal and keeps most of it in his mouth. He is even intrigued by the spoon and trys to feed himself. I only give it to him once a day, in the evening. He hasn't seem to need anymore than that. We are moving onto Veggies soon..."bring on the peas and the green beans!" I'll let you know how it goes. With all the picky eaters in our family, I'm hoping that I can get Logan interested in a variety of foods so that I don't have to battle with him later on in life. We'll see if my plan works...Haha

Playing before Bedtime

Logan has been discovering life on the floor. He loves his tummy and is now strong enough to hold his upper body up. He is the love of my life and I am enjoying watching him grow more and more each and every day.

Merry Kissmas

Merry Kissmas everyone!!!
Christmas has come and Christmas has gone. This was a very special Christmas. Special because it was my first Christmas as a mother and special because it was Logan's First Christmas. It was so fun to watch his eyes wide open with excitment as I helped him open up his presents from Santa. Santa spoiled him...big shocker there. He isn't quite old enough to really enjoy all of the toys Santa brought him yet...but as soon as he is strong enough to sit up by himself he should be able to enjoy them more. Some of the gifts he received included a drum set, some blocks, a soccer ball, a sippy cup with his name on it, some books, a baseball toy and lots of other neat toys. I think his favorite was the ribbon and the bows that were placed perfectly on the top of each present. He seemed to enjoy these more than the gifts themselves. I can't wait until next year when he can tear through the paper himself.

"will anyone notice if I take little nap?"

The family was over for our family Christmas celebration but Logan didn't let the noise from the party keep him from sneaking in a little N A P. He fell asleep right in his Bumbo seat amongst all the chatter. It was so cute. I know....child abuse. But I couldn't help taking pictures before I laid him to rest in his crib.

White Shirts and Black Slacks

This was the cutest picture. Papa Mickey and Logan were hangin' out together after Church on Sunday and Sue and I noticed that they were dressed exactly the same. Logan loves his Papa Mickey, and loves spending time with him. Also, this past Sunday Logan discovered that he has a set of lungs and he showed everyone at Church that he knew how to use them. I don't think we are going to have anymore quiet Sacrament meetings from here on out. Pretty soon he is going to start Chewing on the back of the Pew like Easton does...good going Andie...lol

Lil' Monkey

I purchased this monkey blanket for Logan before he was born. I recently found it and he absolutely loves it! He sleeps with it, drools all over it and snuggles up to it. It is adorable. It's amazing how attached children get to stuffed toys. I'm just hoping It's machine washable.

"Fall Leaves"

Today Logan and I decided to play in the Fall leaves in "Papa" Mickey's backyard. We were really having a lot of fun...until I realized that Logan was eating the leaves!!! I did manage to snap some pretty cute pics of him though.
